About Your Host

Meet "Mr. Pole Pole" 
Pole pole (pronounced pole-lay, pole-lay) is Swahili for 'slowly, slowly' which is your host's mantra for reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro! Joseph Kiterecha has summited Kilimanjaro over 230 times and climbed its sister mountain (Mt. Meru) over 50 times. He is familiar with all of the National Wildlife parks in the surrounding area and is from a village close to the gates of the great Serengeti. 

Joseph has completed the following professional training courses:
  • First Aid Responder
  • Wilderness leadership skills (Professional Tour Guide School)
  • First Aid training from Scotland's Maarifa Project Course 

Joseph's knowledge and years of experience allow him to provide a unique and unforgettable experience for all of his clients.
